sipping finches &
galloping seahorses chime
underwater brain
This is my brain on stress. Thoughts expand, race, and flatline. Sometimes resurrecting, and others just buried. I could spend hours watching the birds on the feeder behind the sheet hung to spare us the glare of the sun as it hogs the day’s conversation. My thoughts drift with the breeze moving the air, wafting the sheet billowing with breath blending my brain to smooth peanut butter, not crunchy because if I wanted to eat peanuts, I would.
This is my brain on stress. Short-circuited to believe in magical currents of flying finches tipping sipsy, or is that sipping tipsy? Into the seahorses next door, ever-poised for the flight of fancy, the blight of chancy—for a breath of fresh sparkling bubbles of bouncing baby babbles.
This is my brain on stress. Yes, oh yes!
